Hi, and welcome to my website. My name is David Brasher. I have been practicing the art of taxidermy over 30 years. I am a member of the Alabama Taxidermist Association and the National Taxidermist Association. I have received many awards in the Taxidermist Association.
I can make your special, once in a lifetime trophy come to life and bring back the fond memories of that special hunt for years to come.
I take pride in my work and strive to provide the best possible product and service to my customers. When it comes to pricing, many taxidermists set their prices based on their competition or the market average price for a particular mount. Basically, this means that they must set a price, and then produce a mount that they can produce within the material cost and labor. To meet these prices, they may use low quality forms and glues , if any, dry preserved skins, plastic eyes, or are forced to spend less time on the details of each mount.
There is nothing funny about poor-quality taxidermy. Have you ever seen a deer with bulging eyes, smiling lips, and a plugged-up nose? How about a fish that looks like it was painted with a spray can?
These inaccuracies are an insult to both the animal and the sportsman. Disappointing outcomes are what you may encounter as the result of not knowing how to select the right taxidermist. Most outdoors-men make their selection based on price. They typically call several taxidermists and ask, how much do you charge and how quick can you have it ready? Many sportsmen don’t know what questions to ask, making them vulnerable to those who dont really care about their customers needs. I try to offer you the customer the best of everything and will answer all of your questions
